Telus opens 4th hub in McKinley
How about working in an office with a fitness gym and game rooms?
Business process outsourcing company Telus International Philippines (TIP) continues to expand by opening its fourth site in the Philippines that boasts of inspiring work spaces for its 2,500 new employees.
The five-story Telus House McKinley Exchange in Makati City features themed interview and conference rooms, collaboration areas, training rooms, and recreational spaces such as huddle areas, game rooms, a cafeteria, fitness gym and its very own Telus International University library.
The Telus House is a 10,000-square-meter property leased from Ayala Land Inc.
Site selection

“We thought: ‘Can they get here by bus, train or jeepney? Will they arrive and leave the office safe?’ [Considering that] some of the members are working here late at night,” Puritt said. Telus McKinley is situated on Edsa-Ayala, near the Ayala MRT Station and BGC bus terminal.
Puritt said that with the kind of work environment they offer, he believes TIP could bring out the best from its employees.
“It’s a successful recipe that brings out the best from our team members. It’s just part of the whole experience we want to provide to them. Unlike the stereotypical ‘sweatshop’ that people envision when we think of leveling wage arbitrage in an emerging economy,” he said.
However, Puritt noted that even if the new Telus hub has better amenities as of now, he guaranteed that TIP would not make their team members from other locations feel like second-class citizens.
“There is a natural bias to think that new is better, but opening a new location puts a little bit of pressure to raise the bar in the quality of amenities in all our existing facilities,” he said.
