Shortlist for the Philippines Property Awards 2015 revealed
An overwhelming response from the country’s real industry has paved the way for the biggest event to date on 9 July
MANILA, Philippines – Following a rigorous six-month entry process and comprehensive site inspection period by the esteemed and independent panel of judges, the shortlist for the third annual Philippines Property Awards has been announced.
Free, fair and transparent, the Philippines Property Awards 2015 is part of the Asia Property Awards, which for 10 years has rewarded the best of Asian real estate and become the most respected and recognised industry awards series in the region.
“It is our pleasure to present the third annual Philippines Property Awards. Since our debut event nearly three years ago, the Awards has received overwhelming response from established and emerging developers, as well as top industry professionals in the country,” said Terry Blackburn, CEO of Ensign Media and publisher of Asia’s industry leading Property Report magazine.
The third edition in the Philippines will feature 25 award categories covering the best developer, developments and designs in the local real estate sector, covering residential, commercial, office, retail, hospitality, villa and green developments in Mega Manila, Cebu and Davao.

Article continues after this advertisementLed by the president of TAJARA Leisure & Hospitality Group Inc, Cyndy Tan Jarabata, who is on her third and final year as chairwoman, the esteemed panel of judges has shortlisted the Philippines’ best developers and developments as assessed and monitored by BDO International, one of the world’s biggest accounting firms.
Returning as top contender is 2014’s biggest winner Ayala Land Inc (ALI) – recipient of the Best Developer awards in the Philippines and at the fourth annual South East Asia Property Awards in Singapore – with a total of eight nominations for ALI and its subsidiaries Avida Land and Alveo Land Corp in 2015, including a nod for Best Developer yet again for ALI.
Other major contenders with multiple nominations include the SM Group, led by SM Prime Holdings, and subsidiaries SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and First Asia Realty Development Corporation, with a combined total of nine nominations, including Best Developer for SM Prime; and Megaworld Corporation, which is also competing in the Best Developer and three other categories including Best Luxury Condo Development (Metro Manila).
In the regional categories, Primary Homes Inc is one of the biggest nominees, grabbing four citations in several categories, including Best Condo Development (Cebu).
This year’s final Winners and Highly Commended companies and projects will be presented with their respective trophies and certificates during the exclusive, blacktie event at The Raffles and Fairmont Makati on Thursday, 9 July.
Top winners in the Philippines will also be showcased on a regional stage and compete at the Asia Property Awards grand finals on Wednesday, 21 October, at the fifth annual South East Asia Property Awards 2015 to be held at the prestigious ShangriLa Hotel Singapore.
With support from top regional and local media outfits, including ABSCBN, Lifestyle Network, Inquirer.net (a Philippine Daily Inquirer company), The Philippine Star, BusinessWorld, Vault, Metro Home & Entertaining, iProperty Philippines, Property24, and MyProperty.ph, the Official Property Portal of the Philippines Property Awards 2015, this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet.
