Luxurious but convenient is how Shang Properties, one of the country’s leading developers, describes its third development to rise in the heart of the bustling Makati central business district.

Located at the corner of Gil Puyat Avenue (Buendia) and Tordesillas and HV dela Costa streets, Shang Salcedo Place is situated within a vibrant community near a wide selection of lifestyle choices—from high-end restaurants and watering holes, museums and galleries, parks and specialty stores—that would cater to every whim and want.

Shang Properties sales director Susan Yu said: “We made sure that the development would be an extension of the lively Salcedo Village. We wanted to create the perfect marriage of work and play, and we felt that Salcedo Village was the perfect venue.”

During the showcase tour on Jan. 29, select lifestyle establishments from Salcedo Village, such as Filipino art gallery Altro Mondo, artisanal coffee shop Commune Café, Ark Café + Lounge and boutique restaurant Lulu & Hooch by Lulu, were invited to create a feel of the community and upmarket life in Salcedo.

Completion of Shang Salcedo is expected in the fourth quarter of 2016, following the success of Shang Grand Tower in Legazpi Village, and the much-awaited The Rise at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Malugay Street.

Yu said that while Shang Grand is “more high-end, more exclusive” than the other two, Shang Salcedo was also built with an exacting eye for detail and design, with big cuts and world-class amenities.

“Of the 749 units, we’ve already sold almost 50 percent of the inventory,” Yu said.

Shang Properties marketing manager Milen Treichler said Shang Salcedo Place would be a great addition to Shang Properties’ growing collection of premier residential developments in Makati City.

“We think that a community as lively as Salcedo Village deserves to be complemented by a residence that mirrors its lifestyle, and Shang Salcedo Place fits the bill perfectly,” Treichler said.

Treichler added that Shang Salcedo will be purely residential and very niche, with parking space for the first few floors and an entire floor dedicated for amenities.

The 67-story structure was designed by Hong Kong-based firm Wong & Tung International Ltd., while the interiors were created by Filipino designer Manny Samson. Shang Salcedo includes amenities like a world-class gym, swimming pool, TV and function rooms, and lounges.

“We would like to think that we have set a benchmark in the industry because normally in any Shang property or development, our amenities are world-class,” Treichler said.

According to her, Shang Properties is looking forward to expanding and reaching more to its clients this year.

“We have three ongoing projects now, on different levels of completion and we are hoping that this year we would be able to increase our land bank and continue launching projects,” Treichler said.
