Ortigas & Co.’s latest dev’t in Pasig
Ortigas & Company may not be the biggest player in the property development scene but it has grown its portfolio with several large-scale projects that range from condominium towers to horizontal strip malls.
With a stronghold in the Greenhills area, Ortigas & Company is the property developer behind residential spaces such as Valle Verde, Greenmeadows and Greenhills subdivisions. Its commercial spaces include Greenhills Shopping Center and Tiendesitas.
The Imperium in Capitol Commons is its latest development in Pasig City. The company has recently unveiled the model unit for this second luxury residential tower to rise in Capitol Commons.
Model unit
The debut of the model unit took place in the Capitol Commons Information Center on Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. A white Maserati welcomed the guests as they entered the venue and were serenaded as they enjoyed delicious food and wine.

The model unit exudes spaces and clean lines, reflective of the design of the tower.

The kitchen design was created by Viro Casa and comes built with Kohler & Grohe fittings. Homogeneous tiles designed for living, dining and kitchen areas complement the natural stone countertops built for the kitchen and other spaces such as the toilet, the bathroom and wardrobe closets. The master bedroom features a sleek Japanese-style toilet and bath, with wood floorings spread for all bedrooms.
The luxury residential tower will rise up to 62 stories, taking high-class living to new heights. Exclusive living is perfected in The Imperium, with each floor only offering four units. The Imperium will feature facilities such as an infinity edge pool, garden lounge and deck, a mini-theater with recliner chairs and a high-performance fitness facility, among other amenities fit for a king and queen.
The Imperium, to rise in Capitol Commons, is the second residential tower to rise in the 10-hectare mixed-use development. Capitol Commons is a masterplanned community, which will soon feature residential spaces, and premium retail and entertainment destinations. Slated to rise in the coming months is the upscale mall Estancia, which will house international and destination retailers. Future residents will also be expecting more epicurean finds aside from the restaurants in Gastro Strip such as Black Olive, Tipsy Pig, Sentro 1771, Nomama, Starbucks and Santi’s Delicatessen.
Construction trade show
For those in the process of building a home or merely renovating a residential space, check out the upcoming PhilConstruct, the longest-running construction trade show in the entire Southeast Asia on Nov. 5 to 8.
Following the regional success in Cebu and Davao, the Manila show is all set to be held simultaneously in three venues—SMX Convention Center Manila, World Trade Center Metro Manila and the Philippine Trade Training Center.
Engineer Ronaldo Elepano Jr., overall chair of PhilConstruct 2014, is overwhelmed with the great reception of the visitors to the shows and how companies have chosen it as their platform to promote their products and meet buyers in this booming industry.
A strong advocate of sustainability, PhilConstruct will have an industry showcase known as HVAC/R Philippines, the country’s one and only air-cooling and ventilating expo. The Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air-conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers Inc. heads this expo.
With over 1,500 exhibitors, PhilConstruct will carry top industry brands from countries like Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The mega show will also feature TechnoForum, a series of seminars that serves as a platform for knowledge sharing in the industry. The open forum is a great venue for experts and professionals to discuss relevant issues and share best practices in their profession.
