German BPO firm expanding operations in PH
Global business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Arvato is expanding its operations in the Philippines, which it deems as a key strategic location for the company given the country’s skilled employees and secure infrastructure.
Arvato, a German company, recently inaugurated a new facility in Metro Clark, a business and tourism hub north of Manila, in line with its plan to double its workforce in the Philippines over the next three years, from the current employee count of more than 1,000.
The 2,9000-square-meter Clark office now employs 250 people, delivering voice and digital customer relationship management (CRM) to customers in North America. It is expected to have a total of 500 people by the end of 2014. This facility formed part of Arvato’s global CRM delivery network of nearly 100 sites across 21 countries.
“The Philippines is a key strategic location for Arvato, providing the skilled employees and secure infrastructure we need to deliver best practice BPO and CRM frameworks for leading global organizations,” said Fara Haron, executive vice president of CRM North America and general manager of Arvato in the Philippines.
“This expansion will provide more capacity to service our existing client base and a strong platform for growth as the Philippines continues to emerge as a major outsourcing destination,” Haron said in a statement.
According to Arvato, Clark was selected due to its strong supply of young, well-educated workforce. The company has launched a recruitment drive to fill various positions, including customer service agents, team leaders, subject matter experts and administrative and support staff.
