MANILA, Philippines—For someone who wants to escape the hurly-burly of the Metropolis and choose to live in the south without being that far from place of work, it’s great news to hear something exciting is brewing in the real-estate industry.

This time, it’s Avida’s South Park District, described “the soon to be premiere destination place in the South”, which is now hosting Mercato Centrale.

Inspired by the other markets of Mercato Centrale in Florence and the Borough Market in London, the Mercato Centrale at  South Park District is a lifestyle market like no other as it offers gastronomic food finds and other delicious food  surprises that you won’t find anywhere in the Southern area.  With gourmet food items and artisanal products by budding entrepreneurs, there will be surely something for everyone.

The bringing of the Mercato is one of the brilliant ideas from Avida’s South Park District, as they want the future Southern residents and foodies to experience the many flavors and cuisines that the specialty market offers. This is just the first of the many lifestyle events that will be happening at the South Park District, which people can look forward to as the development takes shape.

South Park District is a 6.6-hectare development of Avida that will stand in the former site of a Nestle coffee factory along the National Road in Alabang, Muntinlupa.  It will be a complementary addition to addition to Ayala Land, Inc.’s roster of developments in the area, such as Ayala Alabang Village, Madrigal Business Park, Alabang Town Center, Ayala Southvale and Avida Towers Alabang.

South Park District brings together a mix of residential condos, a regional mall by the Ayala Malls Group, and office buildings anchored by a central park.  The District will be a venue for convergence on this side of Muntinlupa that embraces a uniquely Southern experience, bringing life to its concept of “Part City. Part Nature. Pure South.”

The maiden residential two-tower condo project, Avida Towers Altura, launched its first tower last December 2012.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, South Park District opens to the public the regional mall that will house local and international shops and commercial establishments, and which will also be a home to a number of BPO companies, embodying the live-work-play environment of the project.
