Ortigas launches The Industria
Property developer Ortigas & Co. unveiled on Tuesday the latest addition to its retail portfolio, The Industria, a P400-million indoor-outdoor retail center inside its Circulo Verde project in Quezon City.
The 13,800-square-meter shopping center is part of Ortigas & Co.’s P28.8-billion expansion program that will also cover Tiendesitas, Greenhills Shopping Center and Estancia at Capitol Commons.
The company is set to expand properties in four different sites by 180,000 square meters in the next 15 years, Cathy Casares-Ko, general manager of Ortigas & Co.’s shopping center division, told reporters during the launch of the Industria project at the Circulo Verde guest house on Tuesday.
Industria will cater primarily to residents of Circulo Verde, a P25-billion flagship residential development of Ortigas & Co. located along Calle Industria in Quezon City.
“It will be a hang-out place for Circulo Verde’s residents and the young, edgy and artsy crowd,” the company said in a statement.
“The name Industria alludes to the roots and legacy of the site, referring to the adjacent street, ‘Calle Industria.’ The architecture of the proposed development also relates to industrial design elements,” said Ko.
