DOTr ends contract with builder of MRT’s Unified Grand Central Station
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) formally issued the notice of termination on the contract to build the Unified Grand Central Station due to delays.
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) formally issued the notice of termination of the contract with a group tapped to build the Unified Grand Central Station for the delays in construction.
This group is the BF Corporation and Foresight Development and Surveying Company (BFC-FDSC) Consortium.

“Now that we have terminated the contract with BF Corp. and Foresight Development and Surveying Co, we can finally move on with the construction ,” DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon said.
However, the transportation department has yet to provide specific details on the next steps. These include the bidding process for the contract.

The common station is envisioned to link major railways Light Rail Transit Line 1, Metro Rail Transit Line (MRT) 3 and MRT 7.
