Liberty offers new plans

MANILA, Philippines—Wireless Internet provider Liberty Telecom Holdings Inc. has launched its most affordable household broadband plans to date, offering “consistent” connection speeds for consumers.

In a statement, Liberty, which operates the brand wi-Tribe, announced the launch of its “Move Up” plans, which offer connection speeds of 512 kilobytes per second (kbps), good for the first 1 gigabyte (GB) of usage, for P598 per month.

Also available are the new Move Up Plan 998, which offers consistent speeds of up to 1 megabyte per second (mbps) on the first 6 GB of use for the month, and the Move Up Plan 1998, which delivers consistent speeds of up to 2 mbps on your first 12 GB usage per month.

This means that after these initial usage limits are breached, the connection speeds on the plans will deteriorate.

The company also launched its “Free to Move Flexi” plans, which go for as low as P598 a month with consistent speeds of up to 512 kbps and a monthly usage allowance of 1 GB. A P998 flexi plan is also available with a 6 GB usage allowance every month.

These offers automatically adjust a user’s plan depending on how much usage was logged for that month. The plan is also automatically adjusted to a cheaper mode once usage decreases.—Paolo G. Montecillo
