MANILA, Philippines ? Property developer Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc. grew its first half net profits by 29 percent year-on-year to P1.3 billion on robust home sales driven by overseas Filipino worker-backed households.
Core net income, which stripped off one-time non-cash items arising from debt repayment, likewise went up by 12 percent for the first semester to P1.44 billion over a year ago.
In a press briefing on Thursday, Vista Land senior vice president for finance Ricardo Tan Jr. said the company was thus on track to meet its targeted core net profits of P2.7 to P2.8 billion for the full year.
