Game changer creates another first in QC

THE RESIDENCES at Commonwealth has three apple-shaped tree houses for the little tykes.

After taking Makati by storm with its world-renowned designer brands, game changer Century Properties Group Inc. is bringing its 26-year heritage of innovation to Metro Manila’s largest city.

With The Residences at Commonwealth by Century, the company is creating a 4.4-hectare community of healthy pursuits in Quezon City that, like its other visionary projects, is as exciting and as premium with a more affordable price tag.

“The project name is the company’s stamp of assurance that homeowners will enjoy the same mark of innovation, and the same tradition of life-enhancing residential experiences in this development,” said Century Properties co-chief operating officer Marco Antonio.

Introduce the ‘uncommon’

“Commonwealth by Century seeks to surpass the standards set for residential projects within this category by introducing pioneering amenities and features that will exceed what the market has been accustomed to,” Antonio added.

COMMONWEALTH by Century integrates a world-class design, larger unit cuts and distinctive, beyond-the-usual amenities.

Hence, the development will introduce the “uncommon” to redefine the standards for residential living in Quezon City.

An eight-tower mid-rise development, Commonwealth by Century integrates a world-class design, larger unit cuts with extended balconies, and distinctive, beyond-the-usual amenities that encourage residents to engage in healthy pursuits.

The choice of location makes a lot of sense, according to Antonio, as Quezon City represents almost a quarter of Metro Manila’s total population and has vast spaces perfect for a concept development. The city also has the second highest average income after Makati and house rental is a significant expense at 25 percent of total spending among its resident families.

For Antonio, this market is ripe for such a product.

Accessible location

“We want to capture the local and overseas Filipino market of young professionals, start-up families and retirees, who desire independence but also want to be situated near friends and family. They want an accessible location that’s less congested. They also want to be near shopping districts, schools, medical facilities, places of worship, offices and public transportation. You will find all of these in Quezon City,” he explained.

Each of the eight multi-level towers will bear a distinct cranked design to optimize sunlight and allow the circulation of cool air. Select balconies will have private “floating gardens” that stagger up the buildings’ façades.

ARTS and crafts room at The Residences at Commonwealth

Aside from the unique structural design of its buildings, Commonwealth by Century also brings the property developer’s concept of the hyper-amenitized community that Century Properties has become known for.

“It’s not just a question of providing amenities; it’s what people can do with the amenities. Here at Commonwealth we took a step back and reflected on what kind of public spaces will truly matter to our residents. We know there is true wealth in self-discovery and self-enrichment, so we introduced brand-new amenities that mirror the progression of the individual—from childhood to adulthood—and its energy from meditative to active,” Antonio explained.

Brand-new amenities

Amenities will include a clubhouse that has the Creche or a daycare center, a Kindergarten on the ground floor and an Advanced Learning Center, a computer laboratory, an arts and crafts room, a music studio, as well as a THX cinema and a fully equipped cooking studio and kitchen.

Landscaped and waterscape parks will also be made available to residents, while the roof deck will house a fitness center, a salon and spa and a multipurpose hall.

For the little tykes, the Commonwealth by Century has three apple-shaped tree houses that will have fun web of ropes for climbing; a mini observatory for stargazing; and a spiral ladder imprinted with educational factoids.

Available units

Studio units are available at the smallest cuts of 21 square meters. For those who prefer larger units, the one-bedroom starts at 39.6 square meters while the two-bedroom starts at 63.9 square meters. At an average price of P80,000 per square meter one can own a Commonwealth home within the P1.6- to P3-million price range, with a monthly amortization of as low as P8,000 a month and a unit reservation fee of P15,000.

To meet the demand of buyers who want beyond-standard living spaces, there will also be larger-cut two-bedroom units that range from 64 to 72 square meters worth P5 million and up. The lower price point offering is Century Properties’ move to put forward products with its stamp of innovation in various markets and price points.

“It’s also our way of telling homebuyers that there is a Century home for each budget and preference for location,” Antonio further added.

“On top of the basics, we offer great living spaces and added values that make community life worth the investment, from opportunities for social interaction and active lifestyles to a lot of peaceful and quiet moments. We are pulling out all the stops to bring the Century brand to Quezon City but at friendly prices,” Antonio concluded.
