Save fuel with Shell’s new unleaded and diesel

MANILA, Philippines—Want to get more kilometers out of your liter?
Pilipinas Shell recently launched its Shell FuelSave Unleaded and Diesel, which promises to help drivers save up to one liter per tank, at the same price as standard fuels.
“In these cost-conscious times, it’s not surprising that our customers want to save fuel and cut driving costs, “ said Pilipinas Shell General Manager for Retail Bong Fadullon. “In a recent study, 96% of Filipino drivers said they want to drive more efficiently. We listened and, as a result, are proud to offer Shell FuelSave Unleaded and Diesel. These fuels can help drivers save from the very first fill,” he claimed.
The FuelSave Unleaded and Diesel will replace Shell Super Unleaded and Shell Diesoline Ultra, and will become Shell’s most advanced fuel economy products in the Philippines. The market promise is to help drivers be more fuel efficient when driving, said Arlene Manalo, Pilipinas Shell retail marketing manager.
The new formula was specially designed by scientists to improve fuel efficiency from the first tank fill, said Shell Senior Scientist John Lambert.
Lambert said that they developed the formula through hundreds of hours of laboratory testing, engine testing and rolling road testing.
The Shell FuelSave Unleaded reduces friction and energy loses by lubricating parts of the engine where oils are less effective. The Shell FuelSave Diesel was designed to ignite and burn more effectively than regular diesel, said Lambert.
“It is designed to keep inlet valves clean. A clean engine is an efficient engine,” Lambert said.
“I had no idea that by using the right fuel and making a few simple changes to my driving habits, I could be so much more fuel efficient, “ said Shell FuelSave ambassador Ryan Agoncillo.
Agoncillo, who tested FuelSave, and underwent fuel economy training in Sepan, Malaysia, said he is working with Shell to help drivers all over the Philippines learn how to save fuel and money .
The Shell FuelSave Unleaded and Diesel will be available in Luzon on July 15, said Manalo.
