Deluxe hotel operator Marriott International is bringing its unique brand of intuitive services and design to the thriving province of Iloilo.
This month, the 326-room Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo is set to open its doors to the public, offering business travelers and tourists a refreshing environment that helps them stay connected, productive and balanced.
Of course, Marriott takes pride in knowing exactly what its market wants, and hence, the Courtyard in Iloilo City sports an innovative design and flexible space, to cater to the changing needs of today’s travelers.

“Today’s technology has changed how people travel. Our guests want a room that has purpose and flexibility that enables a seamless transition between relaxing and working. Courtyard is designed to offer them a relaxing and functional space to work the way they want to, when they want to,” Nielsen further explained.
Intuitive, thoughtful design
Signature furniture and architectural elements replace traditional art in the new guest rooms at the Courtyard.
At best, the new room design is intuitive and thoughtful, with indirect lighting and a neutral, tone-on-tone color palette creating a more soothing and calm environment for guests. It also offers flexible yet comfortable spaces—hybrid zones for working, sleeping and relaxing.
The “LoungeAround” sofa offers a pop of color and a comfortable area to relax or work in. The new design also features a light desk on wheels, allowing guests to work anywhere in the room. Meanwhile, an upgraded, more spacious layout creates an enhanced bathroom experience.
Guests at the Courtyard Iloilo can also enjoy an open and bright area outside their rooms where media pods, complimentary WiFi and a variety of seating zones are available. This redefined space can be used for pop-up meetings and social gatherings.
The business library, meanwhile, features several computer terminals, along with a printer and separate stations dedicated to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.
For your dining needs, Courtyard Iloilo features the Runway Kitchen, which offers healthy menu options for breakfast and a light evening fare, including snacks, as well as cocktails, wine and beer so guests can unwind at the end of the day.
‘Green’ features
Sustainability features prominently at the Courtyard Iloilo too. While green has been Courtyard’s signature color since Marriott launched the brand 30 years ago, it has become greener with the introduction of a guest recycling program for the environment.
Receptacles for paper, glass, plastic and metal are conveniently located by side exits.
Other amenities at this 15-storey hotel include an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and guest laundry, and more than 3,000 square feet of meeting space to accommodate functions for up to 180 people.
