View from Timberland Heights

Breathtaking views of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and the Metro Manila Skyline from Timberland Heights – Walk of Faith: Holy Week 2017 expects to draw in hordes of believers through the 14 Stations of the Cross set amidst Timberland Heights’ meditative scenic views.

The quiet, reflective calm of Timberland Heights’ suburban mountains will provide the idyllic setting for prayer and meditation this Lenten Season as Filinvest stages the Stations of the Cross amid its rugged terrain, lush foliage, panoramic views, and crisp highland breeze just 15 kilometers from Quezon City.

Rediscovering One’s Faith

Dubbed as “Walk of Faith,” this religious-inspired activity in Timberland Heights will feature the 14 Stations along a hillside path, some 350 meters above sea level, with some of the most breathtaking views of the Metro Manila Skyline, Laguna de Bay, Tagaytay Ridge, and the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. It will be open to all visitors free of charge on all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of Lent from March 3 to April 16, 2017; from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Now on its fourth year, the Walk of Faith will kick off from the township gate, going up the adjacent Pondopo hill.

Through this initiative, Timberland Heights is looking to draw in the faithful and help in the prayerful reflection on the passion of Jesus in a whole new setting. This Lenten pilgrimage is envisioned to be an annual spiritual retreat ushering in the St. John Paul II Church.

Inspired by the Thorncrown Chapel in Arkansas, the highly-anticipated St. John Paul II Church is set to become the township’s epicenter of faith and a gathering place for pilgrims from all over. Blending in with the beauty that surrounds it, water from the baptistery will flow to a mountainside lake, symbolizing grace pouring down from heaven in a tranquil setting that naturally inspires meditation and devotion.

My Piece of Bliss

Timberland Heights stretches over 677 hectares to offer one expansive, master-planned, and upscale leisure township complete with existing residential communities, farm estates, an educational institution, and the world-class Timberland Sports and Nature Club. Located 15 minutes away from Quezon City, it offers a community where residents can wake up to a tranquil mountain suburban lifestyle every day, with 360° panoramic and picturesque views in the background.

My Eco-Adventure

A mountain haven environment for outdoor activities, Timberland Heights lures in mountain biking enthusiasts and trail runners who are up for a highly technical spin. It highlights the Timberland Heights Eco-trail certified by the International Mountain Biking Association, which features a series of steep ascents and descents, dirt stretches, and sweeping curves offering a range of difficulty apt to challenge bikers of various skill levels.

My Discoveries

Timberland Heights also keeps in mind those who want to experience recreation at a more leisurely pace. It features Adventure Farm, which has organic model farms, a butterfly sanctuary, fish feeding areas, and campsites to make learning fun for kids and the kids-at-heart. Home to 52 endemic bird species, Timberland Heights already has its own bird-watching site, granting you a glimpse of these elusive creatures. For those who wish to enjoy nature with the unobstructed skyline view and star-dotted night skies as their background, visitors and residents alike can set up tent at Timberland Heights’ designated camping grounds.

Another upcoming recreation venue is the Timberland Outlook Park, also to be known as the TOP, which showcases spectacular 360° views from its vantage point with Mt. Arayat to the North, Palace in the Sky to the South, Sierra Madre Mountains to the West, the Metro Manila Skyline with Laguna de Bay and Manila Bay in the background to the East.

A Master-planned Townscape

Diverse and dynamic, Timberland Heights continues to add to its attractions as it moves towards the fulfillment of Filinvest’s vision of a townscape created in harmony with nature.

Aside from Timberland Heights, Filinvest is also developing other sprawling master-planned, sustainable and mixed-use townscapes across the nation including the 244-hectare Filinvest City in Alabang, the 50-hectare City di Mare in Cebu, the 350-hectare Ciudad de Calamba in Laguna and soon, a 288-hectare development in Clark Green City, Pampanga.
