THE ROCKWELL Center’s unmistakable silhouette glimmers amid the city skyline during the holidays.

One of the most festive developments in the city is the Rockwell Center, with its unmistakable building lights creating glimmering silhouettes of its towers. Rockwell Center’s duralights are a distinctive sight during the holidays, highlighting each residential tower’s magnificent architecture. Indeed, the Rockwell skyline is a unique and well-known part of the Manila skyline during the holiday season.

In the heart of the neighborhood is a grand Christmas tree. And the Power Plant Mall, the social center of the neighborhood, is replete with the innocent laughter of the community’s little ones. This is a Rockwell Christmas as only Rockwell can celebrate it.

THE POWER Plant Mall’s interiors are adorned with elegant finery and dazzling lights, a much-awaited sight during the Christmas season.

Always introducing something new and exciting for the community, the Power Plant Mall presented the very first Rockwell Holiday Fair this year. A holiday artisan bazaar with

well-chosen and unique items, the Rockwell Holiday Fair was the sophisticate’s go-to destination for thoughtful and extraordinary presents for friends and family alike.

This year, the Power Plant Mall also stepped up comfort and convenience with its first Christmas lounge, where shoppers could have their gifts wrapped while they relaxed from their Christmas shopping. In the lounge, shoppers could enjoy free tea, treats and signature Power Plant Mall gift bags to make for truly special presents.

The North Court featured a Santa wishing station, which  brings joy to families who visited. FESTIVE window display of Rustans on Ayala Avenue

Another part of the city that really gets into the holiday spirit is the Ayala Center, bordered by Ayala Avenue and the Ayala Triangle Gardens. Historically, this was the site of the country’s first landing strip, and the triangle has metamorphosed into the block that is the nucleus of the Philippine business community.

The Makati central business district or CBD is now a landscaped expanse of over 20,000 square meters populated by over a hundred trees. Over the holidays, a Christmas light show was synchronized with holiday tunes to the delight of visitors. Several trees are lined with colorful LED lights and are like fireworks on land.

This year, Ayala Avenue has a modern Christmas theme of white waves and colorful circles. At the beginning of the main avenue is Rustan’s Department Store. The shop windows of Rustan’s are very elaborate and beautiful, always enticing people to gaze into them. The shop chose a traditional Christmas theme, creating a winter wonderland with life-size white bears, gingerbread houses and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

There are many other areas in the metro that get into the holiday spirit, and I only wish I had enough space to describe them all. Happy holidays everyone!
