Worry-free ownership for the all-new Colorado

THE all-new Chevy Colorado is designed to meet the needs of the local and global marketplace.

Until recently, most pickup truck models were marketed as work-themed workhorses designed and built to be tough enough to handle loads as well as rugged off-road conditions.

But such perceptions are slowly changing especially with the arrival of the all-new, global editions of the Chevrolet Colorado as automakers now look to gain more sales from urban buyers.

To even convince more buyers, The Covenant Car Company Inc., exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet vehicles and parts in the Philippines recently launched the Colorado 5-Year Warranty, 24-Hour Roadside Assistance, as well as 24/7 Chevy Hotline Services.

“We, at Chevrolet Philippines, believe that these (three offerings) are important elements in providing quality ownership experience. We recognize that our customers are busy people and multi-tasking individuals, so we make sure that when they need our help with anything when it comes to their vehicles, the matter will be handled efficiently by a team that’s backed by the most practical technology available, top-rate tools and equipment, expertise and highly-trained personnel,” assured Chevrolet Philippines SVP and director for National Aftersales Services, Rose Dimalanta.

Dimalanta added that an essential part to buying into the whole Chevrolet experience is to emphasize the brand’s commitment to ensure that customers are worry-free. “Chevrolet has always stood for excellent products and aftersales services,” she said.

Dimalanta explained that Chevrolet’s aftersales services for the Colorado begins with a Colorado 5-Year Warranty Plan that comes with a special vehicle warranty that covers a Colorado for up to three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

“On top of this, there is also a 2-year extended warranty for the power train to rid owners of any anxiety brought about by unexpected expenses and downtime. In fact, the Colorado’s 2-year extended warranty for the power train is the first and only warranty that’s being offered in the whole Philippine automotive industry proving TCCCI’s commitment to provide quality products and hassle-free, enjoyable customer ownership,” she said.

Add-ons to the Colorado 5-Year Warranty Program include the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for the first 3 years (other details are available at www.chevroletcolorado.com.ph).

This service enables the owner the assistance they need in all sorts of emergency situations: Towing, vehicle removal, fuel delivery, battery boosting/jumpstarting, locksmith services, and tire replacement (all covered under vehicle assistance).

Personal assistance on the other hand, include Stay or Travel expenses, Hospital Admission Assistance and Ambulance Coordination, as well as Accident Coordination onsite, if need be.

Unlimited access to the 24/7 Chevy Hotline may be availed at 751-CHEV(2438).

Three variants

The Colorado is available in manual 2.5 LT 4×2, manual 2.8 LTZ 4×4, and automatic 2.8 LTZ 4×4 variants (the 2.8-liter diesel engine generates 180 horsepower with a peak torque of 471 Nm while the 2.5-liter variant generates 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque).

The main feature that elevates the all-new Colorado from the rest is its Duramax engine, which according to Chevrolet Philippines, makes the new model the most powerful midsize pick-up truck in its class.

To ensure its performance, the Duramax engine, which has been developed at General Motor’s powertrain factory in Rayong, Thailand, has been tested in some of the most extreme environments of Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America.
