ARTHALAND, the country’s foremost green developer, and Mitsui Fudosan (Asia), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s largest real estate companies, marked a significant milestone in their partnership with the groundbreaking of Sondris, a premium, multi certified green residential development rising along Arnaiz Avenue in Legazpi Village, Makati. Future residents can expect unobstructed views of San Lorenzo Village and the Makati skyline while enjoying convenient access to major business, lifestyle, and cultural destinations across Metro Manila.

González (Vice Chairman & President), Cornelio S. Mapa (Treasurer & Executive VP), Marivic S. Victoria (Chief Finance Officer), Leilani G. Kanapi (VP), and Ar. Jose Antonio Cañiza (Senior AVP) of ARTHALAND.

A highlight of the June 17, 2026  event was a symbolic installation representing the key elements that define Sondris: its prime Makati location, enduring value, intentional design, architectural excellence, responsible execution, distinctive living experience, and the partnership between ARTHALAND and Mitsui Fudosan. The installation culminated in the unveiling of the tower’s facade, symbolizing the convergence of these elements into a landmark residential address designed for purposeful and future-ready living.

“Sondris reflects our vision of creating homes that let life in. Set in one of Makati’s most connected and desirable locations, it represents our commitment to building residences that combine sustainability, quality, and lasting value for generations to come,” said Jaime C. González, Vice Chairman and President of ARTHALAND.

The partnership brings together ARTHALAND’s leadership in sustainable development and Mitsui Fudosan’s global expertise in design, development, construction, and long-term asset management.

“Our partnership with ARTHALAND has given us a strong appreciation for their forward-thinking vision and dedication to the project, which brought us together for this development. Together, we aspire to create a community that delivers enduring value—a place residents can truly call home, with comfort and peace of mind for years to come,” said Mitsuru Umemura, Managing Director of Mitsui Fudosan (Asia).

The ceremony was attended by key leaders and partners instrumental to the realization of the project, including Takashi Sugiyama, Director of Mitsui Fudosan (Asia); Ar. Arrizky Magetsari, Principal of AEDAS; and Ar. Carmelo Casas, Founder and Chairman of Casas + Architects.

“With construction now underway toward our April 2030 turnover, the market response we have received since launch builds on our momentum as we execute our commitment to quality excellence and on-time delivery,” according to Oliver L. Chan, Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of ARTHALAND.

Rising 37 stories in the heart of Makati, Sondris will offer 252 thoughtfully designed residences in a low-density configuration of only six to ten units per floor. Homebuyers may choose from one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom residences, as well as expansive Garden Units. Each home is designed to maximize natural light, ventilation, comfort, and flexibility for modern urban living.

Residents will also have the opportunity to personalize their living spaces through three curated interior design themes that cater to different lifestyles and aesthetic preferences. These options reflect Sondris’ philosophy of allowing homeowners to create spaces that are both highly functional and uniquely their own.

Sustainability and wellness remain at the core of the development. Sondris is designed to achieve 40% in energy savings and 20% in water savings through energy-efficient systems, double-glazed windows, and water-saving fixtures. Advanced indoor air quality systems, including a Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS), will continuously provide fresh filtered air while helping maintain thermal comfort and healthier indoor environments. As with all ARTHALAND developments, Sondris is targeting multiple sustainability and wellness certifications recognized both locally and globally, including LEED, WELL, EDGE, and BERDE. Beyond certification targets, Sondris is also on track to achieve Net Zero for its operations.

Residents will also enjoy a collection of amenities that support well-being and community. These include a 25-meter heated saltwater lap and leisure pool, fitness center, steam and sauna rooms, Sky Terrace, landscaped roof deck, Potager Garden, children’s play areas, and a retail promenade with al fresco dining options.
