MANILA, Philippines – Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) said it had restored access to its online banking portal and key mobile app services as it continued efforts to fully stabilize its digital platforms following a weekend disruption.

In an advisory issued at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the Ayala-led bank said critical mobile banking functions, including fund transfers, bill payments and mobile check deposits, were once again available to clients.

The update marks further progress in BPI’s recovery efforts after network connectivity issues disrupted its online and mobile banking channels, prompting customer complaints and intermittent service outages in recent days.

BPI, however, warned that some users may still encounter slower response times as more clients return to online transactions.

The bank said its teams continue to monitor activity and optimize system performance while completing the full restoration of services.

BPI earlier assured customers that branch operations, ATMs, card transactions, payroll credits, account balances, and client data remained unaffected throughout the disruption.

The lender thanked clients for their patience and support as it worked to normalize all digital banking services. /pai INQ
