Yellow alert raised again in Visayas

MANILA, Philippines – Thin power supply persists in the Visayas, with the country’s grid operator placing it under yellow alert anew on Thursday.
In an advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said the yellow alert status would last for six hours from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

NGCP said the powerful Mindanao earthquake worsened the situation, alongside higher power demand and outages at major Visayas coal plants.
