Cretc, for its part, will impart its knowledge and expertise on the Philippine wind energy landscape to fine-tune wind resource assessment products.

“By integrating Ammonit’s globally recognized technology with our local expertise, we can empower communities, reduce carbon emissions and contribute to the nation’s energy security,” Cretc vice president Peter Castro said in a statement.

Cretc stressed the importance of assessing wind resources across the country given its “unique geographic and climatic factors” that affect power generation.

Such practice is conducted to determine the wind resource availability and estimate the future energy production of a wind power farm. Power project developers then refer to the results of this assessment to gauge the viability of a particular wind park project.

“Properly assessed wind potential not only reduces investment risks but also maximizes energy yields for each project, making these instruments vital for informed decision-making,” Cretc said. INQ
