The government is set to launch a pilot e-marketplace for procurement in July. However, the move comes amidst several hacking attacks against government websites.

The DBM executive admitted that hacking attempts were a regular occurrence in all government processes.

“There have been attempts, but PS-DBM’s IT (information technology) has been thoroughly securing the system in order to ensure that the data as well as other relevant information is protected,” Budget Undersecretary Goddes Hope Libiran told INQUIRER.net in a message.
