Globe unit installs more fiber lines in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon
A unit of Ayala-led Globe has deployed over 133,000 fiber lines in Metro Manila and the southern part of Luzon amid the increasing demand for high-speed internet.
In a statement on Thursday, Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI), a subsidiary of Globe’s Asticom Group of Companies, reported it had rolled out 133,400 fiber lines as of December 2022.
Apart from Metro Manila, FINSI also deployed the internet-boosting cables in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Mindoro, Palawan and Bicol.
“FINSI will continue its work in connecting homes throughout the country. We aim to continuously grow to provide innovative services to our clients and serve more Filipinos,” FINSI general manager Marc Kerveillant said.
The Asticom subsidiary shared its intent of hiring more employees given its expansion plans in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Last year, it announced its goal of providing services in the Visayas and Mindanao areas amid the accelerating digital shift in the regions.
