The Department of Trade and Industry  on Monday reminded traders about the prevailing suggested retail prices (SRP) for candles, about a week before “Undas” when the demand for candles is expected to increase.

The prices of candles, as per the DTI’s latest SRP list issued in August, range from ₱29.75 to ₱177.71 per pack depending on sizes and number of pieces per pack.

“In line with the upcoming celebration of All Saint’s Day and All Souls’ Day, please be informed that the DTI currently has (an)existing SRP for candles,” the trade department said in a statement.

“However, for flowers, (the) DTI will not issue an SRP because it’s not considered (basic necessities and prime commodities),” the statement added.
