Likewise, Globe was hailed as Best Workplace for its people-centric approach and proving its strong commitment towards employee empowerment and enrichment. This was done through investment in people, recognition, and retention, improving employee’s job satisfaction, practicing fair communication, and promoting work-life balance.

Globe remains committed to sustainability in the workplace through diversity, including non-discriminatory policies that assure benefits to the family of LGBTQ+ employees.  It promotes employee empowerment via collaborative and diverse learning experiences and a flexible work policy and technical support programs for those working from home.  Globe also ensures employee engagement through a 24/7 mental health consultation service via HopeChat and various interest groups and events to foster well-being.

In supply chain management, Globe’s partner vendors and suppliers are encouraged to commit to support the economic, social, and governance aspects of sustainability that the company espouses to help contribute to sustainable development.

Shanggari Balakrishnan, Chief Executive Officer of the MORS Group, which organized the awards, said 2021 has proven to be a continuation of the challenge that was 2020.

“And yet, as with many things, silver linings are to be found for those who look hard enough. As a captain of industry, you will know that trials bring out the mettle in leadership. If 2020 was about moving the goalposts of success, 2021 is about instilling the culture of agile change and responsiveness. It is also about realizing the need for better employee care and concern, particularly in a time where much of the social constructs of support have been eroded or weakened by imposed work-from-home measures,” Balakrishnan added.
