Oil companies raise prices of diesel, gasoline anew
MANILA, Philippines — The prices of diesel rose on Tuesday for the 10th week in a row, this time by 70 centavos per liter, bringing the total to P4.60 per liter as crude oil prices entered their fourth week above $70 per barrel.
Prices of gasoline increased for the fifth week straight, now by 75 centavos per liter. Caltex raised prices at 12:01 a.m. followed by Shell, Seaoil, PTT and Total at 6 a.m. and Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m.
Shell, Caltex and Seaoil also raised prices of kerosene by 70 centavos per liter. Brent crude, the international benchmark, was pegged at $73.77 per barrel, up from $72.86 on June 14.
Dubai crude, the Asian bellwether, was at $70.94 per barrel as of June 17, down from $70.52 a week ago.
