Globe Telecom plans to upgrade half of its mobile network, or 10,000 sites, as part of a sweeping push to improve service quality.

The company said in a statement that much of the recent upgrades have focused on activating more 4G/LTE sites, which offer faster internet speeds for mobile subscribers.

Recently, this has resulted in improved services in 115 barangays in Metro Manila, northern Luzon, southern Luzon, in Visayas and in Mindanao, Globe said.
