Discovery Suites Ortigas welcomes family check-ups with Cardinal Santos Medical Center

It’s almost unthinkable to have to deal with getting sick these days. With the arrival of the rainy season (and certain illnesses that come with it) everyone’s immune system needs to be in good shape. 

Keeping the family from catching the flu, making sure that everyone stays healthy—there’s plenty to worry about, but the pandemic and quarantine restrictions may have made parents want to put off making the trip to see their family physician.

Enter Safe Care: a trailblazing initiative by Discovery Hospitality, the management company behind award-winning destinations Discovery Shores Boracay, Club Paradise Palawan, Discovery Suites, andDiscovery Primea. 

Whether it’s a routine check-up or an annual physical exam, Discovery Suites in Ortigas now welcomes safe, comfortable meet-ups with Cardinal Santos Medical Center doctors within the hotel.

To keep visitors safe, in-person contact is as minimal as possible. Appointments are set online through the Cardinal Santos e-consult platform. The Safe Care team will arrange for the meet-up to be held at the hotel, and will reach out to the guest.

Keeping others safe is also a priority, so everyone is asked to fill out a pre-screening health questionnaire. Traffic within the hotel is strictly regulated to ensure proper distancing, with visitors requested to arrive 15 minutes prior to their schedule to avoid having to wait elsewhere. Guests are allowed one official companion during their appointment, but should there be more than one, a separate waiting room may also be booked.

Following DHC’s Home Safe Health & Safety Program, each room is sanitized on a per-use basis with Lysol Disinfectant Spray, which kills 99.99% of fungi, viruses and bacteria including viruses which cause cold and flue as well as the COVID-19 pandemic. Lab tests conducted by Microbac Laboratories, Inc., in compliance with the European EN 14476 and US EPA ASTM 1052/1053 international standards, showed the Lysol products are effective in inactivating the virus strain which causes COVID-19 pandemic—demonstrating reduction of infectious virus in 5 minutes.
