Robinsons Bank cited for growth, innovation
Robinsons Bank—the banking arm of the Gokongweis–was recognized as the fastest growing commercial bank in the country and for its outstanding overall performance this year by two international publications.
In particular, it was recognized for its innovative products and services, bagging the title of “Best Commercial Bank – Philippines 2020” and the “Fastest Growing Commercial Bank – Philippines 2020” from the International Business Magazine (IBM) and Global Business Outlook (GBO), respectively.
In 2019, Robinsons Bank’s revenue grew by 28 percent to P8.1 billion, driven mainly by a 17-percent expansion in gross loan portfolio. Its net income in 2019 rose 127 percent to P719.4 million.
In the first half of 2020, its profit grew to P628.32 million, almost four times the P158.36 million a year ago. —Daxim L. Lucas
