Globe in $4-M acquisition deal with US-based cloud consulting group
Globe Telecom is buying up assets of a United States-based cloud consulting group to expand offerings for its business costumers.
Globe said on Friday that the deal was valued at $4 million and would involve the acquisition of “substantially all of the assets” of Cascadeo Corp. and Cascadeo Partners.
“The joint venture with Cascadeo will further strengthen our ability to invent, innovate, and experiment,” Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu said on Friday.
“We will be leveraging on Cascadeo’s Cloud-Native Consulting and Managed Services capabilities to further solidify our credibility as a cloud solutions provider for enterprises and small and medium business customers who are ready to digitally transform,” he added.
The deal is expected to close in the next few months, Globe said. It is part of Globe Business’ strategy to accelerate the development of its ICT (information and communications technology) capabilities and solutions.
Founded in 2006, Cascadeo is one of only a few elite Amazon Web Services Premier Consulting Partners in North America and a managed services provider. The company specializes in automation, cloud-native platform as a service, data analytics, server-less infrastructure and programmatic security.
