A promise of ultimate luxury at Hann Resorts
The ultraluxury experience is finally coming to Northern Philippines with a “millionaire’s playground” that will unfold at Clark Freeport Zone and New Clark City.
This latest addition to the diversifying northern experience will be made possible through Hann Resorts, the first luxury lifestyle brand to rise in Clark, and which aims to lead the areas north of Manila into a glorious, glitzy future.
Raising the concept of play
“Our vision is to raise the concept of play into a lifestyle that people want to discover through world-class experiences,” said Daesik Hann, president and CEO of Hann Development Corp., a member of the Widus Consortium, which developed and owns Widus Hotel & Resort and Clark Marriott Hotel in Clark Freeport Zone.
“At its core, Hann Resorts seeks… to help our guests playfully escape the ordinary and offer a wide range of options to live bold and play bold,” Hann added.
New slogan
He ended with the new slogan of Hann Resorts—“Play Bold. Live Bold.”—which the company launched with a brand-new logo last Feb. 25 at the Clark Marriott Grand Ballroom, in a program that provided a sneak peek of the luxe experience coming with the megaproject worth upwards of P12 billion.

Article continues after this advertisement“In Manila, there are so many nice integrated resorts, but I can have something they cannot offer to the market, which is nature, golf, and this lifestyle resort,” Han explained. “In Manila, it’s congested. Even if you want to bring high-rollers to the golf course, forget about it because of the traffic. This area is fresh, and the view is fantastic.”
Han further noted that Manila was already a highly competitive market, adding that he wanted to create a market in an unfolding economic hub and dominate it.
Premium brands
Hann Resorts will have two premium sub-brands namely the Hann Casino Resort and Hann Lux Lifestyle Resort.
The first sub-brand will transform the current Widus property in Clark into a five-star international project and the first integrated resort outside Metro Manila. Joining the Marriott Hotel by end-2020 will be Hann Casino and Swissotel Hotels and Resorts. The current hotel and casino will become Mercure Hotel by 2022.
Hann Lux will occupy a 450-hectare property in the southernmost portion of New Clark City. It will offer three 18-hole championship golf courses. Among its hospitality facilities, it will first inaugurate Banyan Tree Hotel and Angsana Hotel. Thereafter, it will host The Luxury Collection by Marriott International and Westin Hotels.
“Where these brands are combined, we are very certain that we will create a synergy effect,” said Han. “We are very excited to launch this new luxury lifestyle brand in this vibrant and growing tourism destination.”
