PAL starts Manila-Phnom Penh flight
A water salute welcomed Philippine Airlines flight PR521 as it arrived on Tuesday at the Pochentong International Airport in Phnom Penh, the 4-Star carrier’s latest Asian destination considered an emerging business and leisure place.
The 156-seater dual class Airbus A320 touched down at 1:03 a.m. after a two- hour and 40-minute flight from Manila.
On hand to welcome the arrival of the maiden flight were Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Christopher Montero, PAL Phnom Penh Area Manager Paolo Diaz de Rivera and PNH International Airport Deputy Director Sem Bunrith.
Before PR521 departed from Manila, special ceremonies were held at Naia Terminal 1 with PAL officials and special guests in attendance, namely: Cambodian Embassy First Secretary Kim Khana, PAL Sr. Vice President for Operations Capt. Stanley Ng, PAL Sr. Vice President (Office of the Pres&COO) Ismael Augusto Gozon, PAL VP Airport Operations Sonny Pascual, PAL VP CorpComms Josen Perez de Tagle and PAL AVP Airport Operations Audie Villanueva.
