PAL’s Airbus A330 makes inaugural non-stop flight to Auckland
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has started using its tri-class Airbus A330-343 for non-stop flights from Manila to Auckland, New Zealand.
The refurbished plane was installed with 18 business class, 24 premium economy, and 267 regular economy seats.
“The first PAL A330 was warmly welcomed at Auckland where guests, travel agents and media were given a tour of the aircraft’s spacious cabin,” the management said in a news release on Monday.
Several promotional activities were also held at New Zealand’s capital to announce the service upgrade prior to its inaugural flight.
Flight PR218 left Manila 12:03 p.m. on June 18. Touchdown in Auckland was at 12:51 p.m. (local time).
The thrice weekly service leaves Manila every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sundays. The return flight, PR219, departs Auckland Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
