The restaurant is a converted ancestral house so its uniqueness, being in the middle of city, is not lost. Its white curtains enclosing each table give dining pairs a private time to enjoy the delicious food and each other’s company.
Complete with mellow lights, roses, and a love lock wall, Ninyo offers an experience that is easy to fall in love with.
Aside from its romantic appeal, the most noteworthy highlight of Ninyo is definitely the food. Owned by culinary artist Marcia Ciupan from Antique, the restaurant is for couples who want a rustic vibe on their date.
This hidden gem in Tagaytay features al fresco dining, rolling fields, lush vegetation, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The restaurant is a cluster of vine-covered adobe bungalows with a view of the idyllic countryside. It has a sunset viewing area, similar to a Mediterrean tavern, that look out to vast green fields.
La Vie Parisienne and La Maison Rose
Couples can have a taste of Paris—the City of Love—at La Vie Parisienne in Cebu City. It serves gourmet fares, fine wines as well as croissants and macarons flown in from France.
The restaurant’s chic interiors adapted design elements from Sino-French motifs. At night, La Vie is a sight of sparkling pink and white trees, with tables and chairs painted white spread out all over the garden.
Just beside the garden is another restaurant, the La Maison Rose, which also serves excellent French cuisine. The interiors, with their striking color palette and design, are reminiscent of director Wes Anderson’s movies.

Filling Station Makati
Couples can go back in time at the Filling Station in Makati, a 24-hour bar and café that replicates the classic American diner serving burgers, fries, and shakes.
The restaurant’s ambiance transports you to the ’50s and ’60s. It has all sorts of memorabilia from the decade, such as movie posters, devices, kiddie toys, and life-size wax images of Elvis Presley strumming a guitar at the bar, while a moody-looking James Dean stood nearby.
It was built by a former US navy cook who decided to stay in the Philippines even when the American military bases were expelled from the country in 1991.
