PAL names VP for Corp Communications
Philippine Airlines recently announced the appointment of Jose E. L. Perez de Tagle as Vice President for Corporate Communications effective October 1st, 2017.
‘Josen’ is a 32-year veteran of PAL. He started as a reservations agent in 1985. PAL is his first employment after graduating from De La Salle University Manila. He worked in various divisions handling commercial code sharing alliances, interline prorate agreements, and airline tariff systems & services.
As the assistant vice president for government affairs, the self-tagged “cloud-hopping diplomat” represented the flag carrier in bilateral negotiations with over 50 countries to secure international aviation rights entitlements for PAL’s global expansion.
Josen also served as Chairman since 2014 of the Board of Airline Representatives (BAR), an organization of 36 international airlines operating in the Philippines; and delegate to various committees and councils of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) and the ASEAN Air Transport Working Group.
Josen’s father was a former PAL Flight Purser.
