Etihad names new CEO
Tony Douglas will be the new Group Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Aviation Group starting January 2018.
This was confirmed Thursday by the company’s chairman His Excellency Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei.
Douglas has served as CEO of the Defense Equipment and Support department of the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense. He was responsible for procuring and supporting all the equipment and services for the British Armed Forces.
Douglas also held senior positions in the United Arab Emirates, most notably as CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports Company and as CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Company where he was responsible for the successful delivery of Khalifa Port.
“We are delighted to have Tony return to Abu Dhabi to lead Etihad. He has guided the transformation of large organizations in the UAE and the UK, and he understands the UAE and the region,” said His Excellency Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Etihad Aviation Group.
