Linde in P1.3-B upgrade of Pampanga plant
Linde Philippines Inc. will invest P1.3 billion to upgrade its gas processing facility in Pampanga to serve the growing demand in the domestic economy.
In a statement, the firm—a member of The Linde Group, an international gas and engineering company—said it will boost its existing air separation system and add a new nitrogen liquefaction unit at its site in the municipality of Apalit, north of Metro Manila.
Once completed, the manufacturing facilities at the site will be able to produce more than 400 tons per day of liquefied gases and related products. These are essential to support the fast-growing electronics, food and beverage, fabrication, shipbuilding and healthcare industries in the country.
The nitrogen processing facility, expected to go on stream by 2018, will support the expansion of Linde’s liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen capacity and strengthen the position of Linde as one of the leading and most reliable gas manufacturers in the country.
Linde Philippines managing director Alexander Coo said, this investment “demonstrates [the firm’s] long-term commitment to strengthen our supply capabilities and service offerings in order to continue to support the growth of the local manufacturing industries.”
