Cirtek unit bags deal with Quintel
THE TECHNOLOGY unit of Laguna-based electronics manufacturer Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp. has bagged a deal to be the manufacturing partner of New York-based cellular base station antenna designer and developer Quintel.
In a press statement on Tuesday, Cirtek announced that its subsidiary Cirtek Advanced Technologies and Solutions, Inc. (Cirtek ATS) – a global pioneer in radio frequency (RF)/wireless broadband manufacturing – had signed a multi-year manufacturing contract with Quintel, described as a “leading innovator of spectrum and space-efficient base station antennas for wireless networks.”
The contract is estimated to be worth $10-20 million for the first 12 months, with the potential to double within the next two to three years.
Headquartered in Rochester, New York with additional offices throughout North America and Europe, Quintel’s products allow wireless operators to increase capacity in a seamless and cost-effective manner, by supporting legacy, new and future air-interfaces with independent optimization and low interference RF patterns.
Quintel antennas are designed to maximize benefits wireless operators can derive from advanced LTE (long-term evolution) or 4G deployments. This US firm is seen radically transforming wireless infrastructure with feature-rich antenna technologies that make networks more efficient and more profitable.
“We are very proud to be chosen by another industry leader and one of the most experienced antenna companies in the world. It is a testament to our capabilities, reliability and expertise, and we look forward to contributing to the success of this partnership,” Alvin Guzon, Cirtek ATS chief executive officer said.
