Binalot opens to ‘absentee’ franchisees

/ 09:23 PM September 18, 2011

Homegrown food chain Binalot Fiesta Foods has launched a franchising scheme that will allow franchisees to not be so hands-on in the business, but still be sure of its success.

Binalot president Rommel Juan explained that under the company’s new company supervision scheme (CSS) for franchisees, Binalot will assign a full-time manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the outlet.

This would enable franchisees who still have to keep regular day jobs to succeed in the business even if they cannot be in their stores all the time, he said.

The CSS was actually born out of necessity, he related, when one of Binalot’s franchisees became so busy with other concerns that sales dropped in her outlet.

“Binalot helped with management and the result was very good. Sales came back up and the store got back on its feet.”
