Inquirer Academy offers learning opportunities
Born out of the need to enhance employee skill sets with all things digital, Inquirer Academy aims to empower Filipinos by nurturing their skills and pushing leadership and marketing goals in the right direction.
Inquirer Academy seeks to be a major player in the professional development field by arming working professionals with the tools they need to help their companies achieve their goals.
“It has been the mission of the company to empower Filipino people. Through proper delivery of news, we unconsciously educate people. We (Inquirer) are a catalyst of social progress. so I believe coming up with the Academy [adds to this mission] by coming up with structured learning approaches to offer to the public,” said Nino Suarez, executive director of the Inquirer Academy, the latest addition to the Inquirer group of companies.
Living up to its tagline “Empowering through Learning,” the Inquirer Academy has designed its courses to enable the participants to fully cooperate and get involved in the learnings, especially when it comes to formulating their own ideas on how to execute their plans.
“The quality workshop programs catering to different skills and interests will give professionals a career advantage. And this is the same drive we will bank on to sustain the Academy,” said Inquirer president and CEO Alexandra Prieto-Romualdez.
The Inquirer Academy implements a 70-20-10 learning and development approach.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 70 percent is based on learning through concepts application, the 20 percent is learning is through peers, while 10 percent is based on classroom-type learning.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Inquirer Academy currently offers two programs: Institute for Digital Excellence and Arts or IDEA, and Business Innovation and Leadership Development, or BuILD.
IDEA courses cover core competencies designed to enhance skills in marketing and advertising while BuILD is focused on personal leadership development that also tackles the intricacies of business processes.
Courses for IDEA such as Digital Marketing, Foundations of Marketing and Crisis Management are just some of the workshops available to help expand a participant’s marketing skills.
Meanwhile, the following professional workshops are available under BuILD this September: Understanding and Managing A Multi-Generation Workforce, Leading and Managing Yourself Toward Personal Excellence, Everyday Project Management and Managing the Customer Experience.
Also, the Inquirer Academy will have a column every Monday titled “Trailblazer” that will feature learnings from different industry experts.
