MAP elects ’15 board

The Management Association of the Philippines has named Francisco Filamor Del Rosario Jr. as the group’s president for 2015.

Del Rosario, who will be the 66th president of MAP since its inception in 1950, has 42 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, the association said in a recent statement.

Del Rosario held senior executive positions in conglomerate San Miguel Corp.; La Tondeña; Coca Cola; Anscor; HSBC; and Roxas Holdings, and has likewise led several state-run corporations and agencies such as Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) where he served as president and chair; Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) as president; and Department of National Defense (DND) as undersecretary.

In the field of education and service, Del Rosario was executive vice president of the De La Salle University Professional Schools and chair of the Habitat for Humanity Philippines.

At present, Del Rosario is independent director at Metrobank, Omnipay, Mapfre Insular Insurance Corp., and DMCI Homes. He is also a senior adviser of Mabuhay Capital, and a trustee of ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.

Del Rosario will lead MAP in 2015 along with other board members namely Carlos S. Rufino, president of The Netgroup; Alberto S. Villarosa, president and CEO of Security Bank Corp.; Benedicta Du-Baladad, managing partner and CEO of Du-Baladad and Associates; and Perry L. Pe, partner of Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc and De Los Angeles.

Other board members are Teodoro S. Del Mundo, Jr.; Pacita U. Juan; Greg Navarro; and Alfredo S. Panlilio.
