For 2nd time this week, Shell hikes fuel prices effective Friday

MANILA, Philippines—Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. increased prices of gasoline by 70 centavos per liter and of diesel and kerosene by 25 centavos/liter to its dealers effective Friday at 12:01 a.m.

The price increases are the second to be effected this week. On Tuesday it also increased the prices of gasoline by 90 centavos per liter and diesel and kerosene by 70 centavos/liter.

On August 23, Shell Likewise raised the prices of regular gasoline by 90 centavos/liter and of diesel and kerosene by 40 centavos/liter.

Last Tuesday Shell Petroleum Corp. said it would adjust fuel prices twice weekly to reflect changes—big or small—in the global oil market.
