TMP welcomed 2012 with the launch of the all-new Avanza. It had been remodeled with a variety of improvements in style and capabilities, making it an iconic vehicle on the road. The Toyota Avanza has been transporting Filipinos since 2006. With over 35,000 units sold nationwide, it proves itself to be one of the top contenders in the multipurpose vehicle (MPV) segment.
2 WELCOMING FRESH CHANGES
Throughout the years, the development of the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) has changed the course of vehicle innovations around the world. On Jan. 20, 2012, TMP unveiled an all-new compact hybrid vehicle, “C,” that stands for “compact, clean, clever, and city”. The Prius C is the latest addition to the Prius Hybrid lineup. It is an unprecedented vehicle that employs cutting-edge hybrid technology that pursues the best possible performance as a compact car while playing its role in contributing to the environment.
3 WELL-LOVED INNOVA KEEPS ON ROLLING
Toyota also unveiled a new edition of the country’s best-selling commercial vehicle, Innova. The new Innova was unveiled February in the beautiful island of Boracay. Since its first appearance in 2005, the Innova has provided customers with a comfortable, dynamic and affordable MPV that suits every Filipino family.
4 EMBRACING ALL SHAPES AND SIZES
With an unquestionable heritage, the new Toyota Land Cruiser was introduced to the Philippine market in March 16, along with the introduction of the new Yaris with sporty improvements.
5 BRINGING LUXURY TO ANOTHER LEVEL
Last April, the Camry was given a full model change, taking luxury to new heights. Now with the Nano-E Technology, this innovation satisfies the wants and needs of the Camry’s primary audience.
6 EXPLORING THE BEAUTY OF THE COUNTRY
TMP and friends headed all the way to Cebu and Bohol for the much-anticipated RoadTrek 8. The convoy drove over 500 kilometers of scenic roads in Bohol and Cebu. Filled with fun and exciting challenges, RoadTrek 8 gave participants the chance to drive Toyota’s best-selling models the Vios and Innova. After a long journey, a winning stop at Badian Island gave time to relax and unwind.
7 UNCOVERING A LEGEND
Toyota brought the fun back to driving with the launch of the legendary 86 in June. TMP went drifting all the way to the Subic Bay International Airport to welcome the most anticipated car of the year.
8 CELEBRATING SALES MILESTONES
As a way of thanking its loyal customers, TMP held the Toyota Fest in all showrooms, making Toyota cars even more affordable. People were able to enjoy big discounts and freebies because of this.
9 TAKING PART IN THE COUNTRY’S BIGGEST MOTORSHOW
Last August, TMP joined the Philippine International Motorshow. Among the cars showcased were the 86, the TRD Vios, and accessorized Vios, Camry, Innova and Fortuner.
10 BOOSTING THE POWER
TMP improved its ever-reliable Fortuner and Hilux models in September this year. With the addition of the Variable Nozzle Turbo (VNT) technology and interior entertainment improvements, both the Fortuner and Hilux have proven to be even more road-worthy beasts.
11 LENDING AN EAR TO CLASSICAL MUSIC
TMP held the 15th Toyota Classics, bringing in the Vienna Chamber Orchestra performing the hits of the musical “Sound of Music.” Along with TMP were local artists who supported this concert for a good cause. All the proceeds of the concert, which raised P2 million, were donated to Gawad Kalinga.
12 THANKSGIVING AT CHRISTMAS
In separate occasions, TMP celebrated the Holiday season with groups that brought the company to success this year. The Team Toyota Christmas celebration was held with its dealer network, and with an intimate Christmas lunch with close friends from the media.
