Premier developer Megaworld Corporation, continuously setting higher standards of excellence in the real estate industry, recently made EEI Corporation its general contractor for three upscale developments in its Uptown Bonifacio township project, touted as the country’s brand-new central business district.

Megaworld and EEI officially inked the contract of partnership on November 15, solidifying a business relationship committed to quality.

EEI is set to handle the construction of the three-level Uptown Mall and two office towers targeting companies in the business process outsourcing industry.  These three developments are only a few of Megaworld’s offerings at the 15-hectare Uptown Bonifacio, located near the British, American and Japanese international schools in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

“Megaworld’s brand promise underscores quality,” said Megaworld Senior Vice President for Operations Division Philipps Cando.  “We put a lot of time into the planning of our projects.  In looking for contractors to partner with, we conduct detailed studies on the market and the industry.  This way, we’re able to identify contractors that match our exacting standards.”

EEI’s extensive experience in construction and fabrication for the past 80 years has resulted in a strong portfolio of local and international projects.   “EEI is quite known in the construction business.  The company has the expertise and experience Megaworld requires, and it emphasizes organization and people safety,” he added.

Megaworld’s focus on quality is reiterated by EEI President and CEO Roberto Castillo.  “Megaworld defines quality.  The company will challenge us to meet and even exceed their expectations.  We aim to satisfy every demand to deliver impressive end-results,” he said.

Since 1994, Megaworld has launched more than 250 residential buildings, office towers, commercial centers and world-class hotels with a total floor area of more than two million square meters—a feat unsurpassed in the industry.  The company was recently cited by CB Richard Ellis and Colliers International as the country’s No. 1 residential condominium developer.

“We at EEI like to be associated with the movers and changers of the metro landscape, like Megaworld.  Our mutual goals will ensure that the end-users of these projects will enjoy the best value,” said Castillo.

Aside from the developments in Uptown Bonifacio, EEI is also the general contractor of Megaworld’s Eight Forbes Town Road golf view residential project, also in Global City.

On Nov. 16, a topping-off ceremony was held for the 53-story project, which is part of Megaworld’s Forbes Town Center, the only development in Global City that offers half-kilometer-long views of the Manila golf course.

“We are pleased with the progress made for Eight Forbes Town Road,” said Megaworld Assistant Vice President for Project Management Division Roemar Nograles.  “We are on track to meet our turnover schedule.”

Eight Forbes Town Road is a zero-accident project made possible by the synergies of both developer and contractor.  “From the very beginning, Megaworld and EEI were on the same page as to how we wanted Eight Forbes Town Road to take shape.  Because we had a similar vision, our efforts were met with success,” said Cando.

Another Megaworld residential project handled by EEI is One Central, a modern tower with two wings rising 50 and 42 stories high.  It is rising along the junction of Sen. Gil Puyat and Ayala avenues in the Makati CBD, one of the choicest locations in the city.
