The investment firm that gypped thousands of people of P12 billion has set its sights on operating an airline.
Before Aman Futures Group Phils. Inc. shut down, the company had applied for a permit with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to operate Aman Air, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said Wednesday.
Virgilio Mendez, NBI deputy director for regional operations services, said that based on the bureau’s investigation, Aman Air owns eight small planes and two helicopters.
Manuel Amalilio, Aman Futures CEO, reportedly owns three private planes and two units at Upper McKinley Hills Garden Villas in Taguig City, according to earlier reports reaching the Inquirer.
He also reportedly owns a house in Cebu City and another one in Dapitan City. Nancy C. Carvajal
