Globe offers low IDD rates
MANILA, Philippines—Globe Telecom’s prepaid subscribers can now enjoy cheaper international long-distance call rates, with the new promo launched by the Ayala-led firm.
The company recently launched its new GoIDD promo exclusively for Globe prepaid users calling the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. The IDD (international direct dialing) offer brings long-distance call rates to as low as P1.50 per minute.
GoIDD is the latest addition to Globe’s roster of international services that offer the most competitive per-minute call rates, Globe Prepaid head KD Dizon said.
“With Globe GoIDD, connections between families and friends remain solid despite the distance. Staying connected is now a cinch with Globe GoIDD, making international calling easy and affordable,” he said.
To call using GoIDD, dial the standard IDD dialing sequence, which is 00 + country code + area code + phone number for a landline number, and 00 + country code + mobile number for a mobile number. Upon successful registration, users will be provided with 133 call minutes, valid for an entire month. A P1 maintaining balance is required. The promo will end on Feb. 28, 2013.
Globe said its new IDD offer was “superior” to similar products being marketed by rivals that charge P2.50 per minute when calling long distance.
