This was what Bureau of Customs Commissioner Angelito Alvarez told Radyo Inquirer Friday over the P1.1 billion smuggling case that the BoC filed against CDO Foodsphere Inc. for the food firm’s alleged undervaluing of buffalo meat importation from India by 32 percent.

“I myself could not believe that CDO could do this but the records don’t lie,” Alvarez said in response to the food firm’s statement that they have never been accused of any unlawful activities in their 35 years in the food business.

Alvarez expressed his desire to push through with the case to show the public that the BoC could really convict smugglers.
