LTFRB chair, transport leaders at Usapan AAP

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chair Jaime D. Jacob has accepted the invitation of the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) to be the guest of honor at the second Usapan AAP on Oct. 24, 2012.

Intercity Bus Operators Association of the Philippines (InterBOAP) president Elena Ong and Confederation of Truckers Associations of the Philippines (CTAP) president Rupert Bayocot have been invited to participate as panelists on the topic, “How the LTFRB together with the Bus Operators and Truckers can improve road safety.”

Usapan AAP is a new series of monthly roundtable talks with the media and government and private sector individuals involved in promoting road safety.

Hosted by AAP in the lobby of the AAP main office at 28 Edsa, Greenhills, San Juan City, Usapan AAP begins at 10 a.m. and includes brunch.  As in the first Usapan AAP, which was held on Sept. 28 and featured Land Transportation Office (LTO) Assistant Secretary Virginia P. Torres and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Assistant General Manager Emerson Carlos (representing Chair Francis Tolentino who was suddenly called by President Aquino to attend another event), Usapan AAP will be emceed by broadcaster Cito Beltran.
