Independent oil firm Jetti Petroleum Inc. has put up a five-million-liter fuel terminal in the Iloilo Fish Port Complex in Iloilo City to complement its planned aggressive retail network expansion in Western Visayas.
“Our substantial investments in putting up a new bulk terminal in Iloilo (meant that) we are one of the most serious new players in the industry and that we are here for the long haul,” Jetti Petroleum corporate affairs manager Leo Bellas said in a statement.
The depot would be the company’s third bulk terminal, while the two others are in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental; and Naic, Cavite.
The oil firm entered the Western Visayas market only in the first quarter this year with the opening of four new stations in Bacolod City and Silay City in Negros Occidental. This was followed by the opening of Jetti Petroleum’s first station in the Iloilo in September.
Jetti Petroleum said it was planning to open three more stations in Iloilo City within the fourth quarter. These stations, which are now under construction, are in Yulo Drive, Arevalo District; Barangay (village) Balabag in Pavia District; and on Lopez Jaena Street in La Paz.
Jetti Petroleum said it had been expanding in Iloilo, Bacolod and Silay City as these areas were among the most progressive cities in the Western Visayas region.
“Putting up more retail stations in the region signifies the market’s warm response to the things that we do. In return, we just want to contribute to the progress in the Visayas and fulfill our mission to make quality fuels accessible to more Filipinos,” Bellas said.
Jetti Petroleum also has 10 existing retail stations in Central Visayas (Cebu City), two of which were opened only this year.
