Dreamco Automobile Corp., exclusive Philippine manufacture and distributor of JMC commercial vehicles, announced last week the opening of two new dealers bringing to a total of 14 its network of sales and service shops all over the Philippines.
The new dealerships, JMC North Edsa and JMC Zamboanga, are found along the southbound corridor of the historic Edsa in Manila and in the capital of Zamboanga City in Mindanao respectively. These companies were formally listed into Dreamco’s list of dealers beginning Oct. 1, 2012.
“We are very happy with the fast pace of our dealership expansion,” said Greg Yee, chief operating officer of Dreamco Automobile. “It is clear proof of the increasing acceptance of the market of our brand of vehicles. JMC as a brand has proven to be a force to reckon with. It is now the rational choice by many fleet and retail buyers.”
“JMC’s support to its dealers makes our operations fulfilling,” said James Henry Dagondon, head of sales at JMC Alabang. “We receive a high level of support in terms of parts and service. This is what assures us of repeat customers. And repeat customers are what make our business run profitably.”
As a new JMC dealer, Lenin Gan said that they are very confident in the product and support of the Dreamco. “We thoroughly reviewed the truck and pickup line and found them to be highly acceptable in our market. In fact, we have not yet opened shop but we already sold three units.”
She said that “with standard equipment includes a tilting cabin, power steering, power windows, central locking, foldaway front passenger seat, adjustable steering wheel, audio system, and Peach Wood-like instrument panel with LCD odometer, the trucks have great value in them.”
JMC owners nationwide interviewed recently had manifested that purchasing a truck or pickup has distinct advantages. Purchase factors include JMC trucks and pickup as cost-effective alternative to buying a new vehicle, with three-year or 100,000-kilometer warranties for pickups and two-year or 50,000-km warranties for trucks.
Stanley Go, vice president for marketing at Virginia Foods attests that “buying a new truck these days is prohibitive due to the price. Getting a surplus truck is a not a choice because of the high maintenance cost.”
“We tried JMC and we are very satisfied,” Go added. “It is the best balance of cost and performance. The strong warranty is a definite plus! Parts are readily available and service is available anytime. That is great value!”
The Iligan Light and Power Inc. (ILPI), which purchased a whole fleet of 4X4 single cab Hunter Pickups, had glowing accolades for them. Said their head engineer Albert Monsobre, “We did not go wrong when we chose JMC pickups.”
JMC dealerships now total 14 and are located at Makati, Alabang, North Edsa, Pangasinan, Cabanatuan, Laoag, Tugegarao, Cebu, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Tacloban and Zamboanga. Dealerships in San Pablo City in Laguna, Batangas and Cavite are coming soon. “All our dealers are full 3S shops with sales, service and spare parts,” Yee declared.
