Buying domestic air tickets can now be made 24/7 in 7-Eleven outlets nationwide.
Airphil Express said that with ECPay’s Payment Center facility in over 766 7-Eleven stores, passengers who book online do not need to line up at Airphil Express to pay for their domestic tickets. Instead, they may simply go to their neighborhood 7-Eleven outlet to pay. However, ECPay outlets will accept payments only for flight bookings done online and will not accept payments for bookings done through the Airphil Express reservation hotline.
The new scheme, according to Airphil Express in a press statement, is also designed for those with no credit cards who want to do their bookings online in the convenience of their homes, offices, Internet cafes or mobile phones.
Air Express said the service involves a few easy steps. First, a passenger books a flight through the Airphil Express website. The flight must be at least 48 hours from the time of booking. The passenger then selects “others” in the payment option and once booking is confirmed, system will generate a reference number with total amount due, to be presented to 7-Eleven for payment. Passenger must pay for his ticket at the nearest 7-Eleven outlet until 11:45 p.m. the same day booking was made. E-ticket will be automatically sent to the passenger’s e-mail address.
